Monetary policy has always been a topic that has attracted much attention from scholars around the world. Recently, there have been many research projects related to the selection of operating objectives to enhance efficiency. and the effectiveness of monetary policy, thereby enhancing the role and ability of the Central Bank to intervene in the economy, finance and currency. Operating monetary policy through indirect tools such as interest rates is being applied step by step by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV). The article uses statistical methods and analyzes the current situation of monetary policy and interest rate policy in Vietnam in recent years and makes some recommendations for the coming years.
