UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS ON TRADITIONAL APPARATUS OF LU ETHNIC PEOPLE IN LAI CHAU

Abstract

Vietnam is a country with 54 ethnic groups. Traditional costumes of ethnic minorities in Vietnam are diverse and rich in both content and form of expression. The Lu people in Sin Ho, Lai Chau are one of the few ethnic groups that still preserve and maintain their original traditional costumes. The uniqueness of the traditional costume is not only reflected in the material or technique of expression, but the texture, shape as well as the motifs and decorative colors also play a very important role. This article mainly goes into researching design structure and décor on traditional Lu people’s attire.
