Du lịch tối hiện đang trở thành một lĩnh vực nghiên cứu quan trọng trong quản trị điểm đến, đòi hỏi sự cân bằng giữa khai thác di sản đau thương và tôn trọng giá trị nhân văn. Nghiên cứu này tập trung vận dụng khung lý thuyết “Phổ du lịch tối” của Philip Stone (2006) để phân tích các tiêu chí cốt lõi phân định mức độ sáng tối của điểm đến. Thông qua phương pháp hồi cứu tài liệu và phân tích trường hợp, bài viết đánh giá một số kinh nghiệm quản lý thành công du lịch tối tại Ba Lan, Mỹ và Ukraine. Trên cơ sở đó, nghiên cứu đề xuất một số bài học kinh nghiệm cho Việt Nam trong việc phát triển du lịch tối nhằm đảm bảo tính đạo đức, sự tôn nghiêm và nâng cao trải nghiệm cảm xúc cho du khách.
