ART EDUCATION THROUGH PUBLIC ART IN HANOI

Abstract

Reaching for beauty is an aspiration, a natural need of people and society. Beauty exists in nature, in society and most concentrated. Art is the attraction, the beauty, which carries many values in terms of aesthetics, culture, history and era. In order for society and the public to fully absorb and perceive that beauty, it is necessary to have the orientation and support of the school and the whole education system. In recent years, many public art projects have been carried out from rural to urban areas. Hanoi - the cultural and political center of the country with many major events, is the place where most of these projects appear. With many different purposes, these public art projects, whether consciously or unconsciously, have carried in them the functions of art education. In the scope of this article, we do not delve into or evaluate public art projects in Hanoi, but only mention the role of public art in art education for the public. From that point of view, we propose some recommendations to further promote the role of public art in arts education for the community.
