Sự phát triển nhanh chóng của trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) đang làm thay đổi mạnh mẽ môi trường học tập và đánh giá trong giáo dục đại học. Nghiên cứu khảo sát 1.015 sinh viên tại 13 trường đại học Việt Nam nhằm mô tả mức độ sử dụng AI và mối liên hệ của nó với học tập chuyên sâu, học tập phân mảnh và quá tải nhận thức. Sinh viên đánh giá AI là công cụ hỗ trợ hiệu quả (M = 3,964; α = 0,910), song 50,64% thừa nhận phụ thuộc vào AI; học tập phân mảnh (M = 3,644) và quá tải nhận thức (M = 3,655) đều ở mức trên trung bình. Sử dụng AI tương quan dương mạnh với học tập chuyên sâu (r = 0,719), nhưng do thiết kế cắt ngang và dữ liệu tự báo cáo, kết quả chỉ cho phép kết luận về mối liên hệ, không suy luận nhân quả. Đáng lưu ý, học tập phân mảnh và quá tải nhận thức cũng tương quan dương với học tập chuyên sâu (r = 0,552 và r = 0,484), trái kỳ vọng lý thuyết; bài báo thảo luận các cách giải thích khả dĩ. Trên cơ sở đó, bài báo đề xuất định hướng khai thác AI trong giáo dục đại học gắn với đổi mới đánh giá.
