Abstract

Written language is the natural means of conveying the culture of each nation, loving and preserving the mother tongue is a natural right for each nation. Since 1999, the United Nations’ UNESCO has launched the initiative: “Learning a mother tongue is a right”, and since 2000 has designated February 21 every year as International Mother Language Day. Vietnamese is the most important communication tool of the Vietnamese people, which is also a tool for cognitive thinking, cultural transmission, and historical archiving of the nation. To preserve the purity of the Vietnamese language, everyone has a share of responsibility. Mother tongue - Vietnamese we speak every day, with how many words we use, we hear on the mass media, read through articles of all kinds... in learning activities practice, work is research work, many cannot be mentioned. Many inadequacies still occur in the process of using Vietnamese, which we think is correct, but in fact there is a problem.
